RuneMatch Devlog — A Simple Game with a Purpose

Hey everyone! 👋

I just released my latest project RuneMatch — a memory card game with a touch of Norse flair and a battle of brains between you and two levels of AI.

This wasn’t my biggest or most complex project, but it served a clear purpose:
🎯 I wanted to teach myself how to implement difficulty settings and experiment with different AI behaviors in a focused way.

So RuneMatch was born — a clean, quick, and functional way to explore memory matching, player vs AI logic, and some subtle UI/UX polish (like animated card flips, a loading screen with rotating brainy tips, and a chill music shuffle system).

I’ve released a few games before on itch, but every new project is a chance to level up — and this one definitely helped me tighten up my workflow and structure for future games.

💡 If you try it out, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Even small feedback helps me grow.
Thanks for playing and supporting indie devs like me 🙏
